Hartstone Equestrian are the sole agents for Budweiser semen in New Zealand

The semen is owned by the stallion’s owners Kitara Lodge in Australia

Budweiser was imported from Germany originally coming from the Bockmann's stables. Budweiser has travelled the world and has progeny all over including licensed stallions and elite foals. His genetics are long sought after and has proven to be very successful for jumping.

Budweiser has a performance pedigree with the 6 top European stallions in a row; Burggraaf keur, Voltaire keur pref, Ahorn Z (v. Alme), Landgraf I, and Roman. Sire Burggraaf and dam sire Voltaire are the two most popular stallions for showjumper breeders in the Netherlands. Both stallions obtained high rankings in the World Breeding rankings and produce Grand Prix winners consistently. Burggraaf’s Jumping Index is at 168 with a reliability of 92% and Voltaire’s Jumping Index is 161 with a reliability of 94%.

For sport-horse breeding the combination of Burggraaf and Voltaire has proven to be an excellent combination. In the fourth generation of Budweiser’s pedigree, we find Reizvolle, which is a full sister to the international jumper Lovely Boy of Norbert Kook.

Pruessendorf 100 day tested with a score of 126.20 for jumping therewith became third. Scores are as follows:

  • Character 10
  • Free Jumping 9
  • Temperament 9
  • Ability to Work 9
  • Jumping Under Saddle 8
  • Canter 8
  • Willingness to Work 8
  • CC Jumping 8
  • CC Manners 8

He has over thirty premium rated foals from his first few foal crops. All have been good types with excellent movement and now has two licensed sons. Budweiser has a sensational temperament which he passes onto his progeny.

Budweiser is also trained to Advanced level dressage.
